Dr. Nady Hamid and the team at OrthoCarolina Research Institute’s (OCRI) research shows opioid-free surgery is safe and effective in some orthopedic patients.

Patients in OCRI’s study that had opioid free surgery were just as comfortable as those who received traditional pain management methods, but didn’t have to deal with some of the side effects or the pitfalls of taking opioid medications while they were recovering.
